Terms and Conditions – REFER A MATE
- Standard Terms
1.1 Information on how to take part in the promotion form part of these Terms and Conditions..
1.2 Participation in the promotion is deemed as acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
2. Promoter Details
2.1 The promoter is Fast Cities Australia Pty Ltd (trading as Evie Networks) (Promotor), ABN: 58 613 484 754 of Level 4, 410 Queen Street, Brisbane QLD 4000.
3. Promotional Period
3.1 The promotion commences at 8am AEDT on Wednesday, 13 August 2025 until withdrawn by Evie Networks.
4. Who is eligible?
4.1 In order to refer a friend, the referrer must be an existing Evie customer who has received the promotional email from Evie Networks or viewed the promotion on https://evie.com.au/refer-a-mate/. They must refer a new customer by filling in the form on https://evie.com.au/refer-a-mate/. The person who does the above to refer their friend is the Referrer.
4.2 To be referred:
In order to be successfully referred, the referred friend must:
- Not be an existing customer of the Promotor
- Have been referred to the Promotor by the Referrer; and
- Successfully signs up as an Evie customer by downloading the Evie app on their mobile device and creating an account.
This person is the Referred Friend.
4.3 Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families, suppliers, associated companies and agencies are ineligible to enter.
4.4. Note: The Referrer must not provide the Referred Friend’s information to the Promotor unless they have first discussed the promotion with the Referred Friend, and the Referred Friend:
- Has agreed to the Referrer sharing their information with the Promotor to take part in the promotion; and
- Is happy to receive marketing from the Promotor in regard to the promotion
5. Promotion Benefits
5.1 The Referrer and Referred Friend will be entitled to the Promotion Benefits subject to these terms and conditions.
For a successful referral, the Referrer and the Referred Friend will each receive a one off $20 Evie charging voucher (Promotion Benefit).
In order for the Referrer to receive the Promotion Benefit, the Referred Friend must meet the referral requirements and complete the steps listed in 4.2.
The $20 Evie charging voucher will then be sent to the Referrer via email within 14 days of the Referred Friend meeting the referral requirements.
Each Referred Friend will receive the Promotion Benefit in an email sent by the Promoter. The email will contain the $20 Evie charging voucher code for the Referred Friend to apply once they have created their Evie account.
5.1.1 The $20 voucher must be activated in the Evie App within 7 days of receiving the email, prior to being used.
5.1.2 The voucher is valid for two weeks from the date of activation. It can be used for multiple charging sessions until the total value is exhausted or until it expires, whichever comes first.
5.1.3 Any balance remaining after the voucher expires will be automatically forfeited by the Referrer and/or the Referred Friend;
5.1.4 The voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion, offer or discount; and
5.1.15 The voucher may be subject to other terms and conditions.
The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the Promotion Benefit for any Referrer or Referred Friend who has not complied with the above requirements.
6. Other details
6.1 The Referrer can make referrals to multiple friends in accordance with these terms prior to the promotion being withdrawn by Evie Networks.
7. General Terms and Conditions
7.1 It is a condition of accepting any Promotion Benefit that the Referrer and Referred Friend agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, and all the conditions of use of the Promotion Benefit. Each Promotion Benefit must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a Referrer or Referred Friend is unable to use the Promotion Benefit as stated.
7.2 The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of referrals (including a Referred Friend’s identity, age and place of residence). If there is a dispute as to the identity of a Referred Friend, the Promoter reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
7.3 The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the referral process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct in relation to the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s absolute discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
7.4 Unless explicitly stated, Promotion Benefits are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash or credit. No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of any Promotion Benefits.
7.5 In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, or suspend or modify the Promotion Benefit.
7.6 If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, legal constraints, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any Referrer or Referred Friend; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
7.7 Entry and continued participation in the promotion is dependent on entrants following and acting and using the vouchers in accordance with Evie’s Terms of Service which can be viewed at https://evie.com.au/terms-of-service/.
7.8 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies, or purports to limit, exclude or modify any applicable statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.
7.9 Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter is not responsible for and excludes and is released from all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or Promotion Benefits claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter); (d) any variation in Promotion Benefits value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a Referrer or Referred Friend; or (f) taking/use of and/or participation in the promotion.
7.10 Each Referrer and Referred Friend indemnifies the Promoter including its respective officers, employees and agents) against any claims, losses and/or damages caused by the Referrer or Referred Friend, its guest, and/or any person for whom the Referrer or Referred Friend is responsible, in relation to this promotion.
7.11 The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information and authorising the use of such information as contemplated in these Terms and Conditions and the Promotor’s Privacy Policy. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use this information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. Entrants should direct any request to opt-out, access, update or correct personal information to the Promoter.
