How to charge – Credit or Debit Card
- Plug in your car with a plug type that is compatible with your vehicle
- Tap your credit or debit card on the card reader terminal to authenticate the charge session.
A pre-authorisation amount of $50 will be requested from your account. If this is accepted, the charge session will commence. If it is rejected, the charge session will not start.
- Your charge session will commence
After the connector is plugged in, there may be a short wait time of about 30 seconds until the credit card reader is ready.
- When your charge session has completed, push the ‘Stop’ button on the charger
Note: The maximum value you can charge to is $50 worth of kWh energy. The charge session will automatically stop once this value is reached. Should you need to charge above $50 worth of kWh energy, you’ll need to start another charge session after completing the first one.
- Tap the same credit or debit card on the card reader terminal to deactivate the session
- Unplug your vehicle and return the connector to the holster

How to charge – RFID Card
- Plug in your car with a plug type that is compatible with your vehicle
- Tap your RFID card on the card reader terminal
- Your charge session will commence
Some chargers have a ‘start’ button on the unit. If there’s a start button, press it. If not, you can skip this step.
- To stop a charge, tap your RFID card on the card reader terminal
If there is an ‘unlock’ button, you’ll need to press it before you tap your RFID card on the terminal
- Select the “Stop” button on the charger. This will end your charge session.
- Once the charge session has ended, unplug your vehicle and return the connector to the holster

- 75c per kWh at Sydney Motorsport Park

How does pre-authorisation work?
A pre-authorisation amount of $50 will be temporarily held on your card. If the cost of your EV charging session is $35, you will see a $35 charge on your card once the EV charging session is complete, and the balance of $15 will be refunded to you. It will take approximately 2-3 days to process the refund. However, please be aware that sometimes it may take up to 5-7 days depending on your bank’s processing times.
How will the charge appear on my bank statement?
The charge will appear as “Evie Networks” or “Fast Cities Australia”.
Will I get a tax invoice or a receipt?
You will need to contact Evie to request a tax invoice for any EV charging session at Sydney Motorsport Park. This can be done by filling in the form below.
